My new life in Berlin started with a blast! Friday night 24 August me and my family went to the performance Being the measure of David Zink Yi at KÖNIG GALERIE. The performance in collaboration with Angie Keefer consisted of improvised music made possible by the partecipation of Cuban Musicians Marvin Diz (New York), Gerardo De Armas Sarria (Cuba/UK) Adonis Panter Calderon (Cuba), Alain Perez, (Cuba/Spain), and Regis Molina (Berlin).

The combination of Afro-Cuban musical influence intertwined with minimalist but coloured sculpture seemed to me the perfect  counterpoint to the solemn setting of the former church of St.Agnes. We all enjoyed and liked it a lot. All the idea of cultural contamination, inclusion, participation made us really feel to be in the right place!
While I was there surrounded by a diverse and eterogeneus crowd of music and art lovers, I wondered about something: what is the secret
to combine contemporary art, intended  as an elitarian and luxury cultural product together with a more open and diverse elements ?
For who missed the performance, a video from 2016 of the performance will be shown in the Chapel of St.Agnes at König Galerie. The performance was first commissioned by
Williams College Museum of Art (WCMA), where it was first performed for a live audience in late 2016.
